There will be an evening dress rehearsal that parents are invited to attended on December 17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.. The school performance, for students only, will be the following day. We have also been very excited about the brothers of several UE students who play on the district soccer team. Please remember check your child's agenda, go home folders, and backpacks each night for information including homework, teacher notes, informational flyers, etc. One very important paper is the free and reduced lunch form. If you have not completed the form yet, you will be responsible for full payment of all meals until it is processed. Contact the office for a form if you have not received one yet. Headphones can be purchased in variety of stores and can often be found at a dollar store. Please put them in a ziplock plastic bag with your child's name clearly displayed on the outside of the bag. Headphones will also be available for purchase at the school for $1.00. Must Know News: 1. Union East is under new leadership this year. Mrs. Gretchen Sukdulak has returned as Union East Principal. Mrs. Melissa Gladwell will be joining our staff as Union East as a Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA). 2. Physical Education Classes have increased from 2 times to 3 times per cycle for all 4 & 5th grade students. 3. Guardians of all students receiving free or reduced lunch MUST complete a form each year to see if the student(s) qualifies for free and reduced lunch in the 2009 - 2010 school year. We have a lot to be thankful for at Union East this year. Our first vocal concert was held Nov. 4th. Our 3rd grade students were exceptional. Girls night out will take place this month, too.
